Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Is Part Of This Year's Trout Festival

One of the biggest events and fund raisers for the Women’s Resource Centre  will be held in conjunction with the Flin Flon Trout Festival next week.

It is the return of the Walk A Mile In Her Shoes to raise money and awareness to help put a stop against violence against Women and Girls.

Allie Klippel explains the event’s history here in our community. " I am sure everyone has heard the saying  that you don't know a story til you have walked in their shoes. This is Men Walking A Mile In Her Shoes to show their support of ending vilolence against Women asnd Girls. It has been going on for many years and this is going to be our Centre's second straight year doing this after about a ten year absence. We brought it back last year and we are hoping to keep it going for many years to come."

There is still time to register and you can get a pledge form and find out more information by calling 204-681-3105. The event takes place on Tuesday June the 30th at Pioneer Square starting at 5:15 pm and will include food, kids games and entertainment.
