The Flin Flon Fire Department had to deal with a couple of incidents earlier in October.

The first incident involved the Fire Department being dispatched to a fire alarm in the area of Terrace Avenue.

Command responded, and while en route, dispatch advised that the alarm was determined to be a false alarm. Flin Flon Fire Department was cleared from the call and returned to service.

In another incident Flin Flon Fire Department was dispatched, along with EMS and RCMP, to a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Green Street and Perimeter Highway.

Upon arrival, firefighters  found that a southbound Jeep had collided with a Dodge suv, with both vehicles sustaining significant damage.

Firefighters secured the scene and established traffic control while RCMP conducted their investigation. Crews contained leaking vehicle fluids and ensured no additional hazards were present.

One occupant was transported from the scene by EMS with undetermined injuries.

Flin Flon Fire Department was cleared from the scene while the RCMP investigation continued.
