The numbers are in, and Northland Ford has made a cheque presentation to the Northern Growing Abilities on behalf of the Drive One For Your Community Event which took place in September.
Mike Slipp from the Promotions Department says it went very well. " September the 19th we had our second Drive One For Your Community Event, where Ford donated $30.00 for every test drive to a non profit organization. This time that non profit group was the Northern Growing Abilities and it was a great event. We had 62 test drives and that adds up to $1,860.00 that was raised."
The money will be used for the Northern Growing Abilities to help build a new kitchen at their living facility which got flooded during the evacuation last year.
Don’t forget that the We Scare Hunger Campaign will wrap up this Friday October the 30th at the dealership, so you can still drop off non-perishable food items for the Food Bank.
If you can’t come by and would like to still make a donation you can call the dealership at 204-687-3490 and they will come by and pick up your donations from your residence. A big thank you to all the people who made donations last week at the CO-OP and the Bomber game on Friday.
